Adding Tags To Your Flower Images

Adding Tags

There is a lot of debate in the internet marketing community about the value of adding tags to your flower image in terms of your search rankings. Our opinion is ‘better the devil you know’. In other words there is no point in not adding tags.

But what is an image tag?

Put simply, an image tag a line of descriptive text you can add to your images that cannot be seen by someone looking at them, but can be seen by Google and other search engines.

How do I add an image tag to my flower images on my website?

  1. Find the folder where you have your flower images located
  2. With your mouse, right click on the image
  3. Select properties
  4. Click on the ‘General’ tab, which is the 3rd tab, from the left, in the little box that will come up
  5. There are actually 2 sides to this box. On the left you will see words like Title, Subject,  Rating, and Tag
  6. Where it say’s ‘Tags’, click slightly to the right of that with your right mouse button. A box will appear with where you can type some information
  7. In this text box, type some keywords you have chosen relevant to your area & business. For example, if you owned a florist in Townsville, you may want to type ‘townsville florist
  8. Click on the ok button, with your right mouse button
